How to play tic-tac-toe
- Take turns selecting an empty square.
- Make three of your symbols in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line.
- If the board fills without a line, start another round and swap who moves first.
A useful way to start
Look for an immediate win before making a defensive move. If there is no winning move, block your opponent’s two-in-a-row. A centre or corner opening leaves useful options.
