How to play 2048
- Move the tiles up, down, left or right using the game controls.
- Matching values combine when they meet during a move. New tiles appear as you play.
- Reach 2048 to win. The round ends if no direction can change the board.
A useful way to start
Try keeping your largest tile in a corner and arranging smaller values beside it. Avoid a move that frees that corner unless it solves a more urgent problem.
